I love working as a producer, I think it’s the closet I’ll ever get to being in a band. There is something so incredible about watching so many talented and driven individuals work toward the same goal, working to find solution after solution and wanting to make something great to share with the world. And of course craft services.
As a producer working in the field of video/film for the past sixteen years I have seen a lot change. From the way we watch content to where we watch content, to condensing the hard work, sweat and tears that go into a video project, now be labeled as ‘content’. However what we do and the processes behind creating ‘video content’ does not change; we still have to be organized; we still have to communicate effectively with our team, clients and audience; we still have to troubleshoot; we still have to hurry; we still have to wait; and we still have to be able to tell a good story. And that’s what I have continued to do.
From creating my own work that has found international distribution (on networks such as Fox Sports Español) to working for bigger media giants like CBS and Starz to working in-house at production companies and agencies to freelancing as an independent contractor to making passion projects only a handful of citizens of the Internet were lucky enough to see –– I have brought my same excitement, drive, passion and talent to every production and every story I have been a part of.
